Upcoming Trends She’s Eyeing at Market
I am loving all the saturated color I am seeing this year. Bright colors but in deeper hues are giving me life. For 2019, I see a lot of texture. For example, caned furniture will be huge, and I think really simple lines in furniture will be catching people’s eyes, too.
Favorite Timeless Trend
Brass accents. As long as it’s not polished, brass accents pieces in the home will be timeless. And age beautifully.

Best Thing About the Las Vegas Market Experience
I love how everything you need is in one place. Not only do I get to knock out sourcing for so many clients, but I get inspired seeing how every showroom styles things and get to talk with so many other creatives. It’s such an inspiring trip for me.
Favorite Find at Las Vegas Market
Common Ground, the book distributor. Sounds funny, but it took me forever to find a place I could buy books at wholesale from and they have a HUGE selection to choose from.
How Important is it to See Items in Person?
It’s everything! I can’t tell you even measuring and looking at all the detailed pictures that seeing it in person for scale reasons makes a HUGE difference. Being able to tell my clients exactly how a piece of furniture sits, feels, looks in person just adds to the their experience and I love that I can say with confidence how much I love the piece I am proposing for them.
Shopping List or No List?
Yes, [using a list] all the way! I am always shopping for clients, and also looking out for new items I might need for inventory (like round dining tables or finding a great faux tree), so when a client requests something like that I know where to go.
Market Shopping Tips for First-Timers
Take your time, ask a lot of questions, bring a million business cards, talk to EVERYONE and take tons of pictures.
Favorite Places to Stay/Dine in Las Vegas
I do one dinner with other designer friends, I sleep, maybe get to a show and try to hit up the Strip if there’s time.
