Visiting the Las Vegas Market as a Fresh to Follow participant was such a rich experience for me as a designer and interior decorator. Sure, it’s a place for avant-garde style spotting. And yes, it’s a one-stop shop for architects, artists, designers and home stylists. For me, though, it was the pinnacle of inspiration. Everywhere I turned, new features, pieces and innovative design solutions squeezed my imagination beyond the curating I do practically every day in my professional world.
What I loved most was being able to actually talk and get to know company representatives who sparked new, imaginative ideas as I considered incorporating their products. I don’t get that browsing online, over the phone or even in stores most times. Conversations with various designers allowed me to tap into new angles of my personal and professional design philosophies. That will only mean growth for me as a designer and more brilliant concepts for my clients’ interior spaces!
Some of my favorite picks from Las Vegas Market included:
Currey & Company, C398
It’s one thing that their “classically modern” fixtures catch the eye of designers, but it’s something completely different to have clients notice them with awe and admiration. This is why Currey is my go-to vendor for distinctive lighting options. I was thrilled to see their newest pieces in Las Vegas.
Ulloo 42, P2-5014
I LOVE the global influence in their products! Lise and Suzanne mesh texture and color flawlessly to create some of the most spectacular pieces showcased at the Market! I fell in love with their pillows and look to incorporate them in a few projects.
Loloi Rugs, B462
Loloi’s rugs present as regal centerpieces for flooring. However, they perform as catalysts for home comfort and coziness. Their flair for creating durable but luxurious products can be seen in all of their collections. I can’t wait to show these off.
Three words: sophistication, shades and SAVINGS! Safavieh’s products are so visually opulent, but so cost-effective. I love that I can pass both of those qualities onto my clients. The rich color palettes and gorgeous color combinations make Safavieh a company I want to utilize in all of my projects.
Noir Furniture, C399
Distinction is in the details, and Noir highlighted the quality of their mirrors in the subtle nuances of their designs. Simple, done well, creates cohesion in a space, and Noir seems to nail it every time—especially with the pieces I saw in this year’s Market.
I looked, loved, learned and lived my passion for design and interior decor at Las Vegas Market. It was an honor and privilege to be among some of the most amazing creatives. I am already looking forward to the experience next season!
