First Look Summer 2017: Handmade
The handiwork of artists, makers and doers is celebrated July 30-Aug. 3 in "Handmade," one of four product displays in Las Vegas Market's exclusive First Look program. Jewelry headlines in this lifestyle vignette; creativity is evident in every bead, bauble, chain, strap and charm. Meanwhile, furniture that can double as either retail fixturing or practical solution for urban dwellers provides a compelling backdrop.
Consider the cool, elegant jewelry crafted in the Amano Trading studio in Sonoma, CA. This summer, the brand showcases enamel cuff bracelets featuring timely PANTONE™ pastels; mixed-metal necklaces and earrings punctuated with semi-precious stones; and the chic leather-embellished Sodalite talisman necklace.

Dunitz & Co. leads this season with fair-trade fused glass. Leather wrap bracelets are adorned with a rectangular piece of the colorful material, which is handmade in Guatemala. A showpiece necklace, meanwhile, features fused glass, too; here, glass beads appear on embroidered upcycled denim.
Earthy and rustic jewelry from Ellajude is made from hand-cut and hand-forged copper, steel and brass in the brand's Memphis workshop. Pieces are painted and patinated to create well-worn effects. Comfort is considered, too — bracelets are lined with leather.
A new acacia wood sideboard from LH Imports and a clever closet solution from D.B. Imports’ Urbanology Collection, the Apparel Hanger, are featured furniture pieces in the First Look Handmade vignette.
Look for Mitchell Black's suitably titled "Hand Prints" framed wall décor in this season's display. "Left" and "right" variations are literal interpretations of the Handmade theme; these prints set our color palette for the vignette, too. Hand knitted, macramé and woven ottomans from Keseri Silk and PALECEK are additional accessories highlights.
