LVDC and ASID Now Accepting 2022 ANDYZ Design Award Submissions

Deadline to apply is May 2

LAS VEGAS – Submissions are now open for the eighth annual ANDYZ Design Awards, presented by Las Vegas Design Center (LVDC) and the California Central/Nevada Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Winners of the ANDYZ, which highlight and celebrate noteworthy projects by interior designers, architects, showrooms and design students in 12 interior design categories, will be recognized during the Summer 2022 Las Vegas Market, running July 24 – 28 at World Market Center Las Vegas.

“Las Vegas Design Center and Las Vegas Market have developed a great program with ASID that allows us to recognize the innovation and style in the design community,” said Cain Brodie, LVDC general manager. “Interior designers play a huge role in our industry and the ANDYZ awards celebrate the talent that comprises our creativity-driven business.”

The 2022 ANDYZ awards will expand to be presented in 12 categories this year with two existing categories -- Best Individual Residential Space Design and Best Multiple Residential Space Design – splitting into two size-based categories – over and under 3000 sq ft.

The 12 Award categories are: Best Custom Furnishings/Product Design; Best Residential Kitchen Design; Best Residential Bathroom Design; Best Residential Outdoor Space Design; Best Individual Residential Space Design (Over 3000 sq ft); Best Individual Residential Space Design (Under 3000 sq ft); Best Multiple Residential Space Design (Over 3000 sq ft); Best Multiple Residential Space Design (Under 3000 sq ft); Best Commercial Space Design; Best Hospitality Space Design; Best Showroom Design; and Best Student Design (for students currently enrolled in 2021/2022).

“Early bird” submissions will be accepted until April 4 at $100 for ASID members and $125 for non-members per professional entry, and $25 per student entry. From April 5 through May 2, entry fees are $150 per professional entry, and $35 per student entry. There is no limit to the number of entries that may be submitted. For official entry forms, contest rules and guidelines, please visit: https://cacnv.asid.org/andyzawards.

The ANDYZ were created in 2015 to recognize exceptional design from designers and design firms. In 2022, interior design projects in residential, commercial and hospitality categories from any region will be judged anonymously based on five main criteria – presentation, innovation/creative use of space, scale and functionality, aesthetics and overall execution. A panel of professional and award-winning ASID designers and board members, as well as editors from 2022 media sponsor, Furniture, Lighting and Décor, will adjudicate.

The 2021 ANDYZ winners were: Marcio Decker of Aspen Leaf Interiors for Best Bathroom Design and Best Custom Product; Stacey Jardine of Design West Architects for Best Commercial Design; Elena Solodovnikova of ML Decor for Best Hospitality Design; Dezirae Janowicz of Maverick Design + Wedgewood Homes for Best Individual Residential Design; Kristin Calderon of The Idea Room for Best Kitchen Design; Yanina & Ryan Allord of RADstudio for Best Multiple Residential Design; Donna Moss of Donna Moss Designs and Kimberly Joi McDonald of Designing JOI both for Best Outdoor Design; Lauren O’Conner of Sanctuary Design for Best Showroom Design; and Alex Tsung, Fresno State University student, for Best Student Design.
