Nathan Turner is one of the country’s top interior decorators and lifestyle experts, renowned for his uniquely laid-back American high style aesthetic. A fourth-generation Californian, Nathan has spent many years in the Golden State and infuses his designs with every sense of its heritage, from sunny color and natural textures to bold, fun touches. Nathan has shared his passion for design, travel and food in two best-selling books, Nathan Turner’s American Style and Nathan Turner’s I Love California, and has been featured on The Today Show, Extra and CBS Early Show, as well as in the pages of Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, Vogue, Veranda, Domino, Food & Wine, Town & Country, Sunset, House Beautiful and C Magazine.
Nathan's Must-Have Picks
Balance is everything--organic, touchable textures like weathered wood, rattan and natural linen are inviting, and contrast nicely against glass, ceramic and metal. A palette of bright jewel tones often plays out against a backdrop of warm neutrals in Nathan’s spaces. Traditional prints like small florals and romantic chintz are back in full swing, and Nathan loves to use these to balance the style he calls “hippie deluxe,” a boho approach with glamorous details. Above all, this designer’s West Coast style is fun, relaxed, but always elevated!
