“Easy Now,” one of four First Look vignettes on display Jan. 28-Feb. 1 in the Grand Plaza Courtyard, connects three product categories that retail buyers and interior designers can conveniently shop at Las Vegas Market: casual dining, tabletop, and housewares.
Products featured in First Look’s Easy Now set the stage for a weekend brunch. And the backdrop for this casual dining and kitchen prep vignette? Benjamin Moore’s 2018 Color of the Year, Caliente AF-290, an energetic, fiery red that proves its versatility alongside a handful of finishes and materials, especially white.
Spot Mercana’s Stuart kitchen island, which is made from Indian mango wood and treated to a weathered sand-colored hue, in Easy Now. CAL Lighting’s Silverton fixture, meanwhile, mixes a cylindrical column of wood with a Deep Bronze-finished iron armature — the result is a modern form that’s forged for contemporary homeowners.
Manhattan Comfort’s compact Lund wine cabinet display and case is presented in a matte white finish. Zuo Modern’s Odin dining table is shown in a white finish, too, plus this on-point design boasts functionality borrowed from contract home furnishings. It has two built-in USB charging ports, which underscore consumers expectations about furniture functionality and pervasive technology, and offer a practical response to the ways modern families gather and spend time together.
Other products that put the “easy” in Easy Now: a new rapid-boil kettle from Capresso; Swedish dishcloths made from a long-lasting blend of wood cellulose and cotton; a mill from Peugeot that maximizes the nutritional benefits of flax, a nutritional superfood; and hot/cold beverage containers from Kyocera.
Look for these products in the Easy Now vignette, too: New Pacific Direct’s Darwin fabric-covered dining chair with bamboo legs; fun and festive kitchen textiles from Potluck Press; new dinnerware and glassware from Skyros Designs; and floorcoverings from Spicher and Company that hold up to kitchen prep work in heavily trafficked areas of the home.
Spot the products-packed First Look display at Winter Market in the centrally located World Market Center Grand Plaza. Be sure to pick up your copy of the companion First Look guide, and plan to attend the First Look presentation featuring curator and editor Julie Smith Vincenti.
