It’s #smize, #sunshineandshorelines and #goodvibes in ¡FIESTA!, one of four vignettes on view in Las Vegas Market’s FIRST LOOK trends and new products program, Jan. 27-31. In addition to the familiar FIRST LOOK display in the Grand Plaza Courtyard, a satellite product exhibition will be shown in the heavily trafficked WorldView on Sixteen, Building B.

Here’s some of what you’ll find in both locations. First up: lightweight seating that easily crosses the indoor/outdoor threshold. Euro Style’s Lima stacking chair, available in an array of soft hues, is a best example. It’s made from polypropylene for outdoor use — an all-weather party favorite, for sure — plus the design suits indoor dining areas in both residential and commercial settings.


FIRST LOOK’s ¡Fiesta! presentation showcases a variety of glassware for occasions that call for either elegance or ease. One example: True Brands’ Amaro Spritz elongated-stem glass is crafted with the high-end libation in mind — the volume accommodates all ingredients from fresh-pressed juice and limited-edition spirits to garnish. People, Places & Things’ Sunrise and Sunset silkscreened Rocks glasses, meanwhile, are a colorful option for quenching summer-time thirst.

FIRST LOOKSpacious bags, on-the-go gear, cover-ups and hats are sprinkled throughout the ¡Fiesta! display. Spot beach-to-market totes and headwear from Shiraleah, as well as Tickled Pink’s cover-ups, insect-repelling scarves, and wraps. Towels and ponchos from Dock & Bay’s Active and Cabana collections are worth a look, too. This company’s textiles are made from 30 percent recycled plastic bottles, so the towels dry faster than all-cotton varieties; the roomy poncho, meanwhile, is large enough to accommodate a quick change from swimsuit to street clothes.

For finishing touches, Party Partners’ Fiesta party decorations get the job done. The sombrero and olé party picks are adorned with glitter and foil for full-on fun and festivity.

In addition to the product displays, this season’s FIRST LOOK program includes a 40-page publication filled with new products, a CEU-accredited seminar led by FIRST LOOK Editor Julie Smith Vincenti on Monday, Jan. 28, at 10 a.m. in WorldView on Sixteen, Building B, and two new showroom tours that follow two category tracks — choose the home furnishings-focused session Monday, Jan. 28, from 1:30 p.m.-2:30 p.m., or the gifts/seasonal track Tuesday, Jan. 29, from 10:30 a.m.-11:30 a.m.
