Rachel Hoffman

With her roots originating in Denver, Colorado, and growing up in an antique shop on South Broadway's Antique Row, Rachel Hoffman has been surrounded by antique & vintage artifacts her entire life. She is passionate about design, preserving the past for future generations, and bringing out the beauty in all things. She is fortunate to partner with the Las Vegas Market to promote the unique one-of-a-kind opportunities located in the DISCOVERIES Pavilion, and looks forward to seeing you inside and out and about during the 2019 Winter Market.

It's almost here – one of my favorite events of the entire year – the Las Vegas Market. My name is Rachel Hoffman and I've been brought up in the antique decor business since childhood. I work hard to inform others about the beauty and value of antiques, one of my passions in life.

I have the pleasure of partnering with the Las Vegas Market for the last several years to cover the happenings inside of Pavilion 2 – home to Discoveries: The Vintage and Antique Marketplace. The merchandisers and artisans attending the market know the "nuts and bolts" of the things they sell and are often talented craftspeople who make the items themselves.  It is heartwarming to see the enthusiasm spreading through Pavilion 2 as it comes alive on setup day. The Las Vegas Market is bubbling over with artistic styles. I'll be pointing out the best furniture, paintings, vases, and ceramics. They'll be fabulous handmade items that beg attention.

I look forward to interviewing artisans in the Discoveries section of Pavilion 2 for the Las Vegas Market's Facebook page. Viewers will experience the passion and expertise of the artisans and learn their stories as I point out some of the most remarkable things they have for sale. Truly, every piece inside Discoveries tells a story. Below are categories that I am looking forward to shopping!

Antiques and Vintage Décor

Collectors of antiques know the value of old items. Many things become more beautiful with age. Consider the richness of aged wood and the fine patina of aged metals. Bronze, brass, and copper have been used for generations. The rarity of an antique gives it a special charm.  Some shoppers buy and re-purpose vintage objects. In a world of limited natural resources, saving estate property has real meaning. And purchasing fine crafts encourages honest and dependable workmanship.

Clothing and Jewelry

Vintage clothing and jewelry are glamorous. The clothes and accessories we wear put us in a certain frame of mind. It's nice to have a wardrobe full of vintage clothes that gives us a wider choice in how we express ourselves. Many vintage belts are handsome and neatly crafted. Check out a huge selection of one-of-a-kind necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings, and watches inside Discoveries. I'll be looking at antique, vintage, and artisan styles of apparel and jewelry.

...and SO much more. Every market, I discover something innovative, unique, and something that I need for my life or to merchandise my shop in Denver, Colorado.

You've heard it said, "The home is where the heart is." Home is the most important place where we need to be happy and confident. We take the values of the home with us to work, school, and play. So I stress the importance of home décor. Would you like to make shopping a little bit more of an adventure this year at the Market? DO NOT MISS shopping Discoveries in Pavilion 2. If it's an antique candy scale, vintage toy, exciting book, furniture, or a funky piece of handmade jewelry, you should know about, and I'll be showing you the grand tour.

I look forward to meeting with you at the Pavilions in Las Vegas. I hope to see you there.
