Las Vegas Market 2020 Design Icon: Martyn Lawrence Bullard
Martyn Lawrence Bullard, an award-winning interior designer recognized internationally for his broad range of styles and eclectic, yet sophisticated and inviting interior designs and licensed collections, will be honored as the 2020 Design Icon during Winter 2020 Las Vegas Market, running Jan. 26 – Jan. 30, 2020.
Now in its 15th year, the award highlights the achievements of exemplary design and architectural professionals and offers Las Vegas Market attendees an opportunity to connect with and learn firsthand from living legends.
“Martyn Lawrence Bullard is a true Design Icon, with an impressive portfolio that includes residential design for a long list of A-list celebrities; commercial design for a number of premier hospitality properties; and product design for companies such as Corbett Lighting,” said Bob Maricich, chief executive officer of International Market Centers. “Las Vegas Market is delighted to honor Bullard as its 2020 Design Icon.”
Bullard, a Los Angeles-based interior designer, has been named as one of the world’s top 100 interior designers by Architectural Digest, featured in Elle Decor’s “A-List,” and named one of the top 25 designers by The Hollywood Reporter. He has starred in Bravo’s Million Dollar Decorators and is regularly featured in publications such as Bazaar, Departures, Harper’s, House & Garden, House Beautiful, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Vogue, W and The Wall Street Journal.
The 2020 Design Icon presentation will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27, in WorldView on Sixteen in Building B. The event will include a presentation by Bullard, followed by a Q&A session with IMC’s Maricich. Immediately following the Design Icon presentation is a meet and greet and book signing of Bullard’s books, Design & Decoration and Live, Love and Decorate.
Bullard joins a list of previous recipients that includes Frank Gehry, Timothy Corrigan, Thomas Pheasant, Carleton Varney, Barbara Barry, Alexa Hampton, Jamie Drake, Christopher Guy Harrison, Juan Montoya, Vincente Wolf, Roger Thomas, Larry Laslo and Vladimir Kagan.
