Meet the Best of the West…

Welcome to our feature series spotlighting a hand-picked collection of designers that truly represent the "Best of the West," which includes West Coast Architectural and Interior Design Photographer, Alyssa Rosenheck.

Known for her inviting, artfully composed and crisp images, photographer Alyssa Rosenheck inherently gravitates towards clean lines and negative space. She is able to walk into an environment and capture the way light transitions from room to room while highlighting the most intriguing details in any space–whether that means architectural lines or a perfectly chosen accessory on a coffee table. If you’ve picked up a magazine or scrolled through one of the top shelter blogs in the last few years, there’s a good chance you’re already familiar with her style; Alyssa’s work is nationally featured in numerous design publications and books, making her one of the best-known names in interior photography. We are thrilled to welcome her as part of July’s Best of the West panel discussion!

Read on for a sneak peek at what inspires Alyssa’s sense of West Coast style, her “must see” showrooms at Las Vegas Market, and more. Planning a trip to market in July? Meet Alyssa in person and hear more from her and the rest of our Best of the West creatives on our REstyleSOURCE Best of the West design panel!

Alyssa's West Coast Style?

Alyssa Rosenheck

“West Coast style and my own style are quite similar. I gravitate towards natural materials that are rich in texture but subtle and muted in tone. In my home, I like it airy and filled with light: I have bleached blonde wood floors, white walls, linen furniture, and natural woods and stone accent pieces along with antiques that are rich in character.”

"For me, West Coast style is all about nature and simplicity; it’s all those unfussy details like calming puttied tones and of-the-earth materials. They provide ample visual relief and leave the viewer on a serene and organic note."

Branding Tips from a Social Media Boss

Alyssa says…”Consistency is key!”

1. Post every single day. Pick a time that works for you and your schedule, and press share.

2. Be consistent with the look and feel of each image. This will create a clean theme on your feed and viewers will know exactly what they’re getting when they decide to follow along with you. Consistency will help you communicate your brand to your audience.

"When done in an authentic way, this will create an incredible and supportive creative community around you and your growth."

Alyssa's Must See Las Vegas Market Showrooms

"The new lines from Loloi have grabbed my attention, as has BoBo Intriguing Objects, Oly, Arteriors, Natural Curiosities, and, of course I’ll be supporting a local Nashville favorite, Hester & Cook."

Trends She’s Eyeing at Market?

“Texture, texture, texture. Lately, I’m loving material manipulation in the form of art and fabrics. I am always looking for a new spin on the classics, mostly to incorporate in a shoot but I love being able to direct my client in adding an extra layer of comfort and interest.”

What She’s Looking Forward to in Las Vegas?

“I have a few Las Vegas moments that are on my must-see list, staring with the Neon Museum. This is home to the original Moulin Rouge sign and will provide great retro inspiration while learning about the history of the city. For hotels, I’m excited about the new SLS Las Vegas (shown at left). Its Philippe Starck-designed interiors are bound to be eye catching. Lastly, for dinner, I’ve had a lot of people recommend Raku, as well as L’atelier De Joël Robuchon at the MGM Grand.”
